December 1999 31 Dec. - Cher performed in Atlantic City for New Year's eve. Unfortunately she was sick with the flu and had to cut her concert shorter than usual. Cher, we hope you feel better soon! 28 Dec - One of the first prestigious journals to feature Sonny and Cher on their cover was The Saturday Evening Post on their April 23rd, 1966 issue. Inside is a 6 page article with photos entitled "Sonny & Cher, They're What's Happening, Baby". Click here to view this famous first story about the beginnings of Sonny and Cher. (This issue is the only time Cher appeared on the cover of Post.) 19 Dec - The March 17, 1975 issue of Time magazine was the first and only issue with Cher on Time's cover. This cover is one of Cher's most famous and a favorite among Cher collectors. We are sure you probably know the cover, but have you ever read the article (4 pages) within? Enjoy! 6 Dec. - The 27th Annual American Music Award nominees were announced today. Cher was nominated for the category "Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist". Other nominees were: Phil Big collins Band and Shania Twain. The awards will be presented Monday January 17, 2000 on ABC-TV at 9pm EST. 3 Dec. - Cher will be resuming her "Believe Concert Tour" in the USA after completing her European Tour Schedule. 20 new USA concerts have been added. November 1999 3 Nov. - Today I got in the mail my copy of Entertainment Weekly - Special Collector's Issue Winter 1999 - The 100 Greatest Entertainers 1950 - 2000. I had heard on ET that Cher was number 58.....so I quickly flipped through the pages to see her picture. Passing all the nice posed pictures of the other 1-57 entertainers...I finally arrived at #58...Cher. GASP.....I was totally surprised at the picture these bean-heads printed for our Cher......some cartoon drawing of... is it a cat (to poorly reflect nine lives)...with a Cher head? Either way, I totally don't understand!!!! The Headline reads: "Just your average hippie/actress/diva/businesswoman/fashion plate/star...." What is this guy thinking...? Cher is anything but average and the picture (in my opinion) totally stinks! Don't look for it on this web site - it will not be posted. Now...that I have said that....hmmm.....where is my latest Cher CD to calm down. October 1999 26 Oct - Today we added this "Site News" page. Since things are constantly updating here....check out this page to see what is NEW on Everything Cher. 26 Oct- Added the "Computer Game 9" pages (under Misc Page) including photos and a complete walkthrough. Plans are to add sound clips later this week. The sound clips are created, so now it is just a matter of figuring out how to best post them for easy access. Some are too big and you would be here until Christmas downloading. 23 Oct - Added more than 100 'verified' Cher Web page links. The first 25 are rated (1-4 stars). The other 75+ will be rated when there is another rainy Sunday afternoon. Check it out under the "Links" tab. If you have a Cher site that you would like to have posted here, please leave us email and we will be glad to add it. 13 Oct - From today's USA Today newspaper: CHER FLARE-UP: Cher has postponed her European tour's first two dates, set to take place this (past) weekend at England's National Exhibition Centre. A spokesman said Cher is suffering from a throat infection and will be resting for six days before continuing her tour. 12 Oct- A new one-of-a-kind Cher doll, dressed in the Bob Mackie Believe outfit, was revealed today on ET's Inside Hollywood. The doll will be auctioned to raise money for the "Children's Aids Foundation on October 30th in LA. 7 Oct - Cher is heading for Europe to start her European Believe Concert. Her first concert opens in Birmingham, UK on October 9th. 7 Oct - Trying hard to get all this 'historical stuff' posted so I can get on to the new Cher stuff. The problem is "she has done so much" in her life.....I keep discovering more and more ....... September 1999 26 Sept - Cher's Believe Concert is the second concert in the new Atlanta Phillips Arena. (The first concert was Elton John, who owns a home in Atlanta.) 26 Sept - Added more than 80 magazine covers. Plans are to scan the pages for on-line viewing. August 1999 28 August - EverythingCher traveled to Las Vegas as an invited guest of the International Cher Fan Club and HBO for the Cher Believe Concert at the MGM Grand Hotel. The concert was filmed for airing on HBO the following evening. The concert will rerun on HBO in September and will be made into a music video to be sold on VHS and DVD. 20 August - Added a Guestbook. Please give us your suggestions, corrections and comments.
