| Movie Review In a place of beauty in a time of uncertainty, they are the most arrogant, obstinate and colorful women in Italy. Known in Florence as the 'Scorpioni' for their biting, this group of female expatriots with wildly diverging personalities and passions take in young Luca Innocenti, who has been abandoned by his father, and help guide him into manhood and a life of art. As mercurial fascist Mussolini leads Italy into World War II, The Scorpioni become unwilling enemies of the beautiful city they called their own. And through the war, Luca is provided with the ultimate test of his loyalty and love. |
