Cher's Tattoo Number 3
"The Chrysanthemum
"
1982
This tattoo is visible in only a few photos.

"I love the shape of my fingers and I have a new chrysanthemun tattoo on my ankle." ...Quote from Cher.

On the cover of the 1990 "Black Rose" album is a drawing of a black rose in exactly the same location as Cher's tattoo. We wonder why Cher got a chrysanthemum instead of a 'Black Rose' back in 1982? And on the other side, we guess that an album named the "Chrysanthemun" would not have been so popular of a name.
Recently a Cher fan, Doug Wemple, sent us this closeup picture of Cher's ankle chrysanthemun tattoo. It provides more detail than the previous picture. The date and source is unknown.

The August 12, 2002 issue of US magazine printed pictures of the different "Living Proof" costumes. One of them captured Cher's ankle tattoo, a little faded in this picture, but still visible.
